Salary & Benefits

£35,000 and £50,000, private health care, five weeks holiday per year, pension, flexi-time, relocation allowance, flat management structure, dynamic environment, 37.5 hours a week early finish on Fridays.

Opportunity

The successful candidate will be part of the R&D team contributing to the development of new and existing high vacuum products. This is a hands on development role requiring both a strong understanding physics and the practical ability to build and test prototype components with full project ownership from inception through to design and delivery.

Qualifications & Responsibilities

PhD or equivalent in physics and or electronic & mechanical engineering

Minimum of one or more years experience with High Vacuum equipment or similar

Background in instrumentation or similar with vacuum deposition techniques

Design of Experiments with an affinity for mechanical and electronic design

Continuous improvement of existing methods and instrumentation

Preparing technical reports and scientific papers for dissemination ofresults

Technical support of engineering, customer support and production teams

Commercial awareness and ability to interact directly with customersglobally

Problem solving and creative thinking with good communication and mentoring skills
